My sillyful geeky fangirlness

Yup, I am a confirmed geek.  I take notes on the sentinel episodes for each week's discussion.  I keep 'em, so I figure I might as well post 'em.  Here's my thoughts on this week's episode, Rogue.

Why I Dislike This Episode

1. EBOLA--they totally get Ebola all wrong, and it peeves me. It’s not unexpected, but it’s still annoying. It’s easy to overlook discrepancies and inconsistencies when you don’t know anything about them, but when you do, it’s your time to throw your hands up in the air and say ugh!

2. Grrr…the Ebola thing again-- he’d NEVER be able to get to it so easily…grrr.

Why I Like This Episode

1. Jim + Blair + blindfold = squeeeeeeeeeee!

2. They work together really well in this episode.

3. Jim would rather have a root canal than lecture for the class; he does it anyway, out of his love for Blair.

4. Lots of gratuitous touching.

5. We get lots of Jim’s senses, and Blair helping with them

6. Poor Jim--that old Ellison charm is slipping. All the ladies can tell he’s already quite taken--with Blair.

Why I Love Lee Brackett

1. He calls Blair Jim’s guide “so to speak”.

2. He, too, is glad that Jim and Blair “hooked up”.

3. He asks Jim if he wants him to make Blair take the wire out of Jim’s pants, knowing the answer is a resounding, Yes!

4. He makes Blair take Jim’s gun off of him. This man is as addicted to slash as we are!

5. He’s actually relatively intelligent, well-spoken, and sane, as far as the criminals on this show go. Yes, he’s a bit delusional; but really, who isn’t?

6. He’s simply a fun bad guy-he has a sense of humor.

7. He makes Jim and Blair work well together.

8. He’s smart; he doesn’t threaten Jim, but instead knows that threatening Blair is the best way to get Jim to cooperate.

Hope you don't ever expect anything too serious from me...

Trust me, you won't get it. :D

*smooches to all*

P.S.  Thanks to my Private for being my errand-girl and checking Lee's name for me!!  =D

Brackett is so one of us :-) The woman doctor gets on my nerves when she accuses Jim of causing the deaths of the people in the museum or whatever it was; as if they'd all die that fast and that neatly, all at once; I don't know much about Ebola, but it seems unlikely and she should know that.

You're absolutely right! :D That scene always ticks me off, LOL. Part of what makes Ebola dangerous is that it takes a while for it to kill people, therefore giving it more of a chance to spread. And it is NOT airborne! *venting* LOL

Heh, I really had never realized how hard Lee works to get Jim and Blair together... lol!

LOL, trust *me* to notice! Hmmmm.... maybe the fact that I wear glasses IRL correlates to the sheer thickness of my slashgoggles? *g*

Ebola.

It always gets to me, too. It's such a stupid mistake. Bad, bad writers, producers - everybody, really, for letting that one go.

Otherwise it's a great eppy - one of my favourites.

I'm glad you agree. :D I know there's probably a thousand things they screw up in other episodes, but this is something I actually know about, so I reserve the right to bitch a little. LOL
