Yes, I know, I'm slow on the uptake.

No news there.  So that's why I'm asking now, instead of forever ago:  Should I bother getting a Dreamwidth account?  What are you guys doing?  Should I invest time in looking this up, or just go about my life in ignorance as usual? *g*

In some seriously cool other news, I have forced coerced convinced my mom to watch this week's Sentinel discussion ep with me.  Perhaps I will pull her over to the dark sde after all!  (My dad's aldready halfway there, though that's mostly because he's humoring me.) \o/

*smooches to all*

I'm staying with LJ for the foreseeable future, but given how hinky it's been over the last year or so, I'm going to get a Dreamwidth account too as an insurance policy. I poked about over there yesterday and got myself an Open ID sorted out, and it looks really nice and user friendly.

It'll be interesting to see what everyone decides *g*

I started an open id account, but I will be getting an account when they start selling. My plan is to use it for a more personal rl journal instead of my fannish one here, so I can keep my rl/fannish friends separately.
We wouldn't want to scare the straights now would we.

I'm definitely looking to support it with money. This means I'll get invite codes, although I don't know how many. I'll let interested people know when I do.

Have heard rumblings, but I'm happy here on lj and have barely learnt how to navigate my way round here, so one time-sucking journal is quite enough for me to handle.*g*

I have two journal places already, only one of them I use regularly. Until LJ gives up the ghost or kicks me out, I will stay here.

I'm probably going to stay here for the foreseeable future. There was a mass exodus a few years ago to Insane journal, and most of the people on my friends list who left ended up coming back because the grass ended up not being greener.

If Dreamwidth turns out to be really good, I might end up creating an account over there as well as keeping my LJ.

But... I've always been fond of how LJ works for postings. Maybe it's just that an LJ was my first journal, but I'm comfy with it. In fact, I was pondering starting a third Real Life journal and ditching the MySpace account that I made for that.

I'm going to stay here, but I'm probably going to get a Dreamwidth journal when they go on sale, just because I'd like to support them, and in case the fannish apocalypse comes and LJ goes belly-up.

Well, if you're slow on the uptake, then I'm standing still on the uptake, because I only just heard about Dreamwidth right now. I looked up stuff about it, and I'll probably see if I can't swindle myself an invite code over there, (and then get a paid account as soon as I have some money, because I want to support them) but I'll still stay mostly over here. (fun fact - When I first got this LiveJournal name, LJ still had invite codes. It's been a while.)
