It's a little late for this, but my lack of internet holds me back. :)

I am happy in my squeedom.

*smooches to all*

Castle is so *totally* the new The Sentinel!! PLEASE tell me I am not the only one who noticed this.

Only a few of the many many similarities:

1.        A somewhat gruff, stoic detective (a woman, this time) with a wonderfully wry sense of humor and lots of hangups

2.        A gregarious tag-along who’s killer with the ladies and HAS A MOTHER WHO GAVE HIM MANY DIFFERENT FATHER FIGURES IN HIS CHILDHOOD RATHER THAN JUST ONE.

3.        Lots of “stay here and don’t touch anything”’s, most, if not all, of which are ignored.

4.        Said gregarious tag-along who gets into trouble with a crazy guy and TALKS HIS WAY OUT OF IT, then punches the guy.

5.        A somewhat reluctant partnership (reluctance on the part of the cop) allowed on the basis of the tag-along GATHERING RESEARCH TO WRITE ABOUT THE DETECTIVE.

6.        The tag-along is rather brilliant and witty, and provides a different way of looking at things that will (I assume) help to solve many a case.

7.        Lots and Lots of Unresolved Sexual Tension. (Face it, it *was* there in TS, they just don’t like to admit it. *g*)

And I bet there’s a bunch of stuff I missed, too. I just find it hilarious that they’re so similar, and I have to say, I like it. I’m looking forward to seeing how much else is alike, beyond normal cop show/unlikely partnership stuff. Has anyone else seen this, and can you draw parallels, too?

I made a couple yesterday, may post them today. Fooled around with that one too long to be really productive.*g*

I might give it a go. I'm very open and some of my best friends are heterosexual. ::grins evilly:: Assuming that these things get to NZ tv and that my brats give me a chance at the telly...
